Who we are
My name is Tom Fitzgerald. I’m originally from Tipperary in the heartland of Ireland but now live in Ohio, the heartland of the USA. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel back to Tipperary many times over the years. In the past few years I’ve particularly noticed that Tipperary and the local region is undiscovered by most incoming travelers. I am eager to teach travelers about Tipperary so I’ve started a company to do just that.
Anseo (pronounced On - Sho): Is Irish Gaelic for “Present, Now”. This name was chosen to represent the travel style offered. We want the traveler to experience the local community as an welcome new local resident during their stay.
Anseo is more than just a travel planning company; it's a reflection of the trips and itineraries to Ireland that I have provided to friends and family for over 40 years. I aspire to offer people a slice of “under-discovered” Ireland featuring my home town, county and region. Tipperary is enriched with heritage, culture, and hospitality. I am happy to introduce slow travel in a sanctuary where people can escape the stresses of daily life and simply enjoy moments of history, heritage, local culture and good company.
